ADELAIDE UNITED FOOTBALL CLUB TAKE TO THE FIELD
Paintball Park had the pleasure recently of hosting the Adelaide United
Football Club ahea d of their gruelling September period which includes the home & away legs of the AFC Champions League Quarter Finals,
as well as the Hyundai A-League.
Adelaide United Coach Aurelio Vidmar chose the combat style activity as
a team bonding exercise and to give players something different away from the pitch, while still maintaining a competitive
nature.
All the players proved to be competitive, not only on the football pitch,
but on the paintball field as well with the coach Aurelio Vidmar joining in on the action.

LATEST NEWS
IMPORTANT LEGAL WAIVER INFORMATION
Unfortunately in this day and age it is essential ALL players at Paintball Park be required to complete and sign a waiver for insurance and legal purposes before playing. All players will
be required to complete the neccessary sections of the waiver CORRECTLY before being able to play on, or enter the playing
arena at Paintball Park. It is ESSENTIAL all sections are completed correctly and any errors may result in that
player being unable to play at the same time as the rest of their group, or being unable to play paintball at all.
PLAYERS UNDER THE AGE OF 18 MUST HAVE THEIR WAIVERS SIGNED BY THEIR PARENT OR THEIR LEGAL GUARDIAN,
not the adult supervising them on the day at Paintball Park.
At Paintball Park, we attempt to make everyone's day as enjoyable as possible and we trust all players (and
parents) will pay particular attention to the complete and correct filling out of their legal waiver.

RECORD BROKEN!
The record for the most balls shot by a social player
in a single  session at Paintball Park has been broken by two mates. Grant and Andrew both shot 3,400 balls each in a single session
recently at Paintball Park to claim the honours as our most 'trigger happy' players. Using our upgrade electronic
marker the boys spent several hours shooting their mates in an attempt to take the top spot. Grant and Andrew are
obviously proud of their efforts and challenge all other players to beat their mark.

Our next tournament date
and format will be set soon. The tournament will be structured according to the teams entered so get your team
nominations in as soon as possible (enquiries@paintballpark.com.au). New teams are most definitely welcome and, of course, it will be great to see the regular players return for
another competition.
Not sure if your team is good enough? Well we guarantee you will come out of the tournament
a better team player and a better paintball player. Our regular players will be more than happy to teach you some
tricks of the game and assist you on your tournament game play. Some of our previous new players are now extremely competitive
on the paintball field thanks to their tournament experience at Paintball Park.
Fun and exciting! That's right. Our tournaments are run in a fun, friendly and competitive atmosphere
where you can watch the other games and chat with the other players. Pick up tips by watching the experienced players,
or even help the new players feel at home on the paintball field. You'll make some great mates, you can be sure
of that.
Our tournament games are run on a pre-selected field at Paintball Park Elizabeth West. The
games run for a maximum of 5 minutes and are based on a capture the flag scenario. Each team has 3-5 players
and points are awarded for eliminations, flag grabs and flag hangs. Points are tallied over the games each team
plays and the top 3 finishing teams will be awarded an exclusive Paintball Park trophy.

TRAINING CLINIC
Our Level 1 training clinic was recently run at Paintball Park and proved to be a valuable couple of hours
for all those attending. Aimed at new or less experienced players, this training clinic provided players with valuable
tips and techniques for improving their paintball game. Correct stance, shooting techniques and team communication were
all covered as well as many other topics that helped these players improve their game. This training clinic, as well
as our Level 2 training clinic for more experienced players, is available to all players wishing to improve their game of

    JUNE 28TH 3-MAN OPEN TOURNAMENT RESULTS

Well another fantastic tournament
has been run and won. A perfect day saw 5 teams compete for overall honours and the chance to take home an exclusive
Paintball Park trophy.
Using electronic markers, the 3-man teams competed for a maximum 100 points per game and with a
new point scoring structure the competition was as close as ever. S.A.S. were the victors for the day scoring 910 points with
Trauma and Carnage claiming 2nd and 3rd respectively. Teams Miffi & Kamikaze claimed the lower positions whilst
still playing very competitive games and claiming wins for their team.
Paintball Park would like to thank all the teams
who participated in this event and we have posted some photos below. We hope to see you all out there again and stay
tuned to this site for the date release of the next social tournament. New teams are more than welcome and for further

Paintball Park offers players the option of upgrading their
standard field marker to a more accurate  electronic marker for the day. These markers are capable of a higher rate of fire and are available to hire at
$25.00 per marker. If you wish to opt for this marker upgrade please use our easy secure online payment system below

Further marker numbers/quantity can easily be added throughout the payment process and a receipt will

5-Player Social Tournaments
With the success of our 5-player social tournaments in 2008,
Paintball Park will again be running social tournaments throughout 2009. We are now accepting registrations for upcoming
tournaments from interested players and teams. Costs start at $35 per player with paint available
to tournament players at a tournament-exclusive $14 per hundred.
Our social tournaments are based on a 'capture the
flag' scenario and points will be awarded for eliminations, flag grabs and flag hangs. Trophies will then be awarded
to the top 3 finishing teams for each tournament.
So if you think you and your team have got what it takes to eliminate
the other players and capture the flag, then get your team registration in and compete at our next social tournament.
They're loads of fun and you'll make some great mates in the process!

New Compound
Yes guys, a new compound is on the cards for sometime
in the future. We are in the planning stage at the moment but there is still a long way to go. Your thoughts and
ideas on the compound and/or the playing arena are always welcome and we will be happy to chat about this, or other topics,
at any time. We hope to set a benchmark in paintballing is south Australia with our facilities and our proximity to
the city. Paintball Park is the paintball location to watch in the not too distant future.
New Lens Please !
Ever wondered what would happen if a paintball hit your camera lens at 300 feet per second?
Well, you'd be asking for a new camera lens, that's for sure. Many photographers use a UV filter on the front
of their lenses for extra protection. That's fine if you've just got spray from a stray paintball. Those
UV filters are extremely thin and fragile and a direct hit is a sure way to smash both the filter and your lens. Here's
a hint, find a piece of thick clear glass (about 6mm thick) and shape it to your lens hood shape on your camera, only
a fraction bigger. If you have a rubber lens hood you will be able to wedge the glass into your lens hood and push it
in until it is tight. It will be stronger if it is pushed right up against the lens (or UV filter). It will pay
to also install a UV filter between the think glass and your lens for extra  protection. This combination of thick glass & UV filter will ensure a direct hit is not the end of your expensive
lens. Believe me, I've had a few direct hits and it makes for a great shot! Oh, and if you think the photo
will be compromised because of the thick glass, you will hardly notice it, and to me that's a better option than
having your camera look like this!

Hire an Ion Electronic Marker
Those of you who have played at Paintball
Park would be familiar with our standard marker, the Tippmann 98. This is a great marker and one of the most popular
models used at paintball fields around the world. At Paintball Park we have the option to upgrade your marker to an
electronic model, the Ion. This is a fully electronic paintball gun capable of firing at a faster rate of fire and
with a greater level of accuracy due to it's longer barrel. The Ion also comes with a motorised hopper to help force
those balls into the gun at a faster rate. Take the next step up in your paintball game and hire an Ion for the day.
You will be amazed at the improvement in your game and you will soon have the opposition screaming for mercy! The Ions
come in a range of colours and hire for the day is $25. Bookings for the Ion must be made prior to the day.
